Find instant answers regarding sizing calibration, bare foot fit, shortening methods, eyelet usage, knee positioning, marine stainless hardware, children's fit, and warranty coverage.
Q1: What if my suit leg feels stuck during entry? ↓
Use the Dynamic Shortening Pull Reset! Step firmly on the pull flap using your free heel on the Anchor Bag, then draw your limb back slightly until your suit's target letter mark appears past the cuff seal. Now push forward again—this drastically reduces internal contact surface area and activates the double-layer slide.
Q2: Can I use Gliders™ with neoprene booties or boots? ↓
Gliders™ are designed to be used with bare feet or a thin, flexible layer over the foot (such as thin socks or liners). They cannot help with neoprene booties or boots.
To use Gliders™ when wearing booties: slide your Glider sleeve over your bare foot first, slide your leg straight through the wetsuit opening, peel the Glider sleeve off, and then pull your neoprene booties or boots on over your ankle afterward.
Q3: Why are the arm and leg sleeves different colors? ↓
The different sleeve colors are designed so you can quickly tell the arm sleeve apart from the leg sleeve at a glance in cold or windy changing environments.
Note: Specific sleeve colors vary depending on which size pack (Small, Medium, Large, or X-Large) you select, but the two sleeves in each pack will always be distinct colors to differentiate arm vs. leg taper.
Q4: Can I use the eyelet to pull the Glider out? ↓
If required, the eyelet can be attached to a fixed point in order to pull against it. However, it is recommended to only use this method if the heel trap is not possible, because pulling directly against the eyelet will damage the eyelet attachment over time.
For optimal durability, always prefer the Heel-Trap method by stepping on the Anchor Bag with your opposite bare heel.
Q5: Why does the flap reinforcement extend inside the cavity? ↓
The flap reinforcement extends into the internal sleeve cavity so that your fingers or toes sit beside it. This gives the flap directional stability so it emerges from the suit limb first and can be maneuvered easily in order to trap it under your heel for removal.
Q6: Can Gliders™ be shortened? ↓
Yes, Gliders™ can be shortened in two ways:
- Before Entry (Static Shortening): Push more of the fabric down toward the toe tip, using the printed GLIDERS graphic as a reference to repeat the process consistently for your specific suit requirement.
- During Use (The PRO TIP Method): Shorten the sleeve dynamically after inserting your limb. This gives you the advantage of using the full sleeve length to insert the limb first, and then reducing the length for effortless removal.
Q7: What happens if you wear Gliders™ above the knee? ↓
If Gliders™ are worn above the knee, the fabric will get trapped behind the knee joint when the leg is bent in order to remove them, making removal difficult.
Q8: Will the eyelet rust and stain my equipment? ↓
No. The eyelet is manufactured from marine-grade stainless steel, so it will not rust or stain your equipment even if left wet in your gear bag.
Q9: Can Gliders™ be used for small children? ↓
Yes. The smaller sizes of Gliders™ (such as Size Small) are suitable for small children, but require the assistance of an adult during donning and doffing.
Q10: How do I wash, clean, and store my Gliders™ kit? ↓
After saltwater or pool sessions, simply rinse your Gliders™ with cool fresh water (max 30°C) alongside your wetsuit. Hang or drip dry away from direct heat sources or prolonged direct sunlight. Flat-pack them inside your kit mesh bag.
Q11: How does the official 1-Year Limited Warranty work? ↓
Gliders™ are warranted against manufacturing flaws in materials and workmanship (seam stitching failure, eyelet detachment, or material flaws present upon arrival) for 1 full year from purchase.
